Silk Textures is thrilled to welcome deep-progressive legend Michael Burns (a.k.a. Blue Haze) to the imprint for its 31st release. Producing for nearly a decade, with numerous genre-defining classics under his belt ("See Me Fall" and "Into Nothing" to name a few), the acclaimed British artist presents the brand new track "Amber Glow," which has received three stunning interpretations by In Deep We Trust, Blood Groove & Kikis, and Konektiv.
The full "glow" of Blue Haze's mix is felt early, as an early-morning pad envelops the listener with warmth, while a crystalline arp sparkles overhead. Soon thereafter, a classic deep house groove enters the fray, while a variety of filtered atmospheric and rhythmic effects enhance the soundscape. As the tune progresses, the pads and arp effects crescendo and effectively lift the listener into the upper reaches of the stratosphere.
Celebrated Polish veteran In Deep We Trust also makes his debut on Textures with the first of three brilliant interpretations. A buoyant rhythmic section is punctuated by radiant synth stabs, as well as ethereal vocal effects. In the main break, a highly innovate and funky new lead emerges, which, in turn, is layered with the vox.
Rising Latvian duo Blood Groove & Kikis, who recently have been supported on radio by the likes of Myon & Shane 54, Matt Darey, Richard Durand, and Jaytech, serve up a characteristically lush rendering. A gorgeous, pad-laden soundscape and groovy rhythm establish an upbeat and sensual tone early. A stunning female vocal stab, a central motif, as well as a piano melody, another repeating theme, reinforce the emotional intensity and overall romantic vibe of the tune.
Finally, Mexican artist Konektiv, who has appeared on various occasions on Silk in the past under his real name, Daniel Mahuad, offers a cinematic interpretation. Specifically, a variety of atmospheric pads are layered together from the very start of the track, creating an exhilarating, floating-on-air effect. A light rhythm section also begins to develop, which offers a bit of a groove, by which the listener can navigate a path through the clouds.
