about

Arrival is proud to present the next sampler, consisting of 8 innovative new cuts. Firstly, Novareese aka Tamas Borok from Hungary shows us "Starmap", a smooth and driving piece; soothing arpeggios lead the track from start to finish, and enjoyable theme melodies along with the bassline make this a rather pleasant listening experience. Joshy Rotten from the US has added numerous synth riffs in "Blueberry Japan" with varying energy and rhythm, and there are also a few cunning synth tweaks that give extra details to the song. Norwegian Mykleby returns from his acclaimed "Superman" EP on the label, and yet again we witness excellent melodies with a matching fine array of beat elements here in "The Golden Coast". Overall, the beat goes extremely well with the comforting vocal stabs, piano line, and synth riffs in the background. Greek producer Terry da Libra showcases his talent for melodies in "The Stigma" -- haunting and mesmerizing harmonies are soon to be introduced to the listener, and the crafty layering of all the various melody lines create a unique and pleasant atmosphere that fits perfectly with the beat and bassline. "Quantumleap" from Japanese Kana is introduced by a rather fine beat with countless riffs and background melodies. A memorable theme line appears mid-track with accompanying pad layers, and still, intriguing synth effects emerge to spice things up even more. "Together" from the Finnish duo Labtracks is another example of genius melody work. Lovely harmonies followed by an unforgettable theme melody along with fine percussion elements and effects are truly the recipe of a great track. Dutch producer Jola Eidos turned in "The City Turns Green" -- a smooth journey through delightful variations of the background riffs and main lead, and the addition of sweeping pad layers help to create a bigger soundscape as the song progresses. The eighth and final cut of this sampler is "Gate 1" from Latvian Ansis Zvirgzdins. With sweeping pad lines, a fairly heavy, yet groovy bassline, and driving arpeggio lines in the background an enchanting atmosphere is soon created, and the break also offers a line of enjoyable elements.
