Russian duo August Rush, who have not-too-quietly been making waves in the global progressive community, present their first contribution to our parent label, a two-track EP. The lead track, "Booster," is exceedingly lush and groovy, seemingly inspired by a poolside weekend day in mid-summer. The track kicks off with a light and deep groove, as an ethereal vocal pad slowly filters into the mix. By the quarter turn, a warm, richly melodic soundscape has emerged, including a variety of flirtatious vocal stabs. The song continues onward in a slow crescendo, inspiring the listener to get back out to the dancefloor. The B-side track, "Time To Recognize," is a more traditional deep house affair, with a laid-back bassline and a plethora of filtered vox effects. This romantic and sensual track is more suitable for the after-hours.
