Finnish artist Andrew Odd is a new addition to the Silk Sofa roster. Also known for his Timewave alias, he has released numerous songs in the progressive and breakbeat genres. This EP, "Life", contains five outstanding downtempo cuts.

The first song, "Spark", takes off with hypnotizing pad layers and intriguing sound effects. A blissful, light synth emerges later, which brilliantly indicates the beauty of new life. "Dawn" follows, in which a soothing, yet mysterious breakbeat is introduced. A deep atmosphere is established, and the theme riff smoothly varies its energy throughout the song. In "Peak", refreshing sound effects surround an enjoyable, delicate synth, as well as a hypnotizing bassline. A well-structured theme riff emerges later, which provides additional texture. Tremendous arpeggio lines are introduced in "Twilight", and lush percussion lines and gorgeous sound effects remarkably enhance the soundscape. "Darkness" rounds out this aural journey, where beautiful pad layers and intricate synths unite to form a stunning atmosphere.
