Argentine sensation Dario Tello has contributed to Silk Music in various capacities over the last decade, under the guise of Airdraw (melodic progressive house) and 19 Hz (trance & progressive). His lesser-known “Flexible Fire” alias, on the contrary, has been reserved for deeper, more introspective compositions. We are thrilled to present “Nido Del Águila,” Flexible Fire’s first EP offering on our imprint, following a series of gorgeous remixes in recent years.

Drawing inspiration from a popular natural pool in his native Córdoba, Airdraw’s “Nido Del Águila” begins with a series of stirring string themes, evoking a veritable paradise on Earth. A gentle house groove offers a gentle, breezy swing to the track, as fluttering synth themes and guitar licks begin to fill out the soundscape. The mellifluous combination of these motifs provides the perfect soundtrack for a late-summer escape from urban life.

The equally stunning “Champaquí,” which derives its names from the tallest peak in Airdraw’s home city of Córdoba, begins with a hypnotic, arpeggiated riff, as tribal vocals echo in the distance. Meanwhile, as we have now to come to expect and enjoy with all Flexible Fire productions, evocative string themes provide a cinematic backdrop to the arrangement. In the main breakdown, as the beats completely drop out, the string elements summon an other-worldly aura; the drop to follow is especially dynamic and awe-inspiring, as the bellowing bassline further bolsters the emotional resonance of the soundscape.

Just found the sound iv'e been searching for so long. I wondered when I would listen to ambient tones and melody that combines this perfect symmetric sound. True art. A whole new world for many curious listeners out there.
