After a small hiatus, Silk Sofa is back with its 36th release. Greek producer djSaint is a new addition to the artist roster, and his track "Souls" is accompanied by two remixes from Harold-Alexis and Rod V. The original mix begins with haunting pads and a soothing piano line above. A lush soundscape is soon established, and the frisky breakbeat with numerous percussion elements keeps up the groove. Later, a lovely saxophone enters the mix -- uniting perfectly with the peaceful pad layers and piano lines in the background.

Harold-Alexis from Canada returns to Silk Sofa with this astonishing remix; a great combination of delayed synths and sweeping pads introduces the track, and a unique breakbeat also emerges. The saxophone flows nicely with the many synths that are varied to a great extent, and the piano line is a brilliant addition as well.

From Guatemala comes Rod V, another new signing to the label. A smooth and groovy beat establishes the main groove as well as a number of floating pad layers and a deep bassline. The saxophone melody from the original here fits nicely in the mix of the slow beat and mesmerizing synths. A number of additional synths also provide great texture to the track.
