Our Russian friend Alex Rize returns to Silk Sofa Music with a new batch of magical tracks entitled "When Time Was A Spiral". "Luminance Amplifier" includes a stunning and hypnotizing atmosphere, accompanied by a soft breakbeat with numerous interesting background effects in play. The many melody layers form a unique soundscape that flows quite well with the deep bassline. The title track, "When Time Was A Spiral", once again shows that Alex Rize is capable of creating fascinating textures with groovy and mesmerizing sound effects. A strong breakbeat creates the main groove while the array of varying melodic elements continues to develop throughout the track. As a final touch, a 303'd version of "Luminance Amplifier" showcases a more calm aspect of the original version; the combination of soothing pads and the main lead lurking underneath layered up with a 303 synth creates a blissful soundscape, and together with the soft breakbeat, this track is perfect for relaxation.
